What an incredible week! Reggie came and conquered the Cookeville area! Whether you are a Cavalier or attend the “U”, it was an unbelievable couple of days. I was in awe last night as the week came to a close with an amazing service @ CFA! Hundreds of you guys responded to live the life that God has called you to live.
Seeing a thousand people under one roof last night made me think of the folks back in the early days in Acts where they were in one place with many people but all in one accord! What if everyone that was in that room last night allows what happened to shape the way they make choices? What could happen? You might be looking at this site after you came to hear Reggie and you might be someone who made that decision to step up and live life in a way that is pleasing to God and if you are I want to encourage you to never give up!
Not every day is perfect. Not everything turns out the way you hope for but if you keep trying and keep giving your very best to God every day than it won’t be long until you see some major differences in how your life shapes up! I am excited about what is happening in our area! MERGE 2010 is right around the corner!
I was thinking about how the Bible says that when we give the least of these, or the down and out, a drink of water or an act of generosity that we do it unto our Heavenly Father… This is just a thought for us to ponder, but what if every Christian found someone and gave them a cup of water? Now, I am not necessarily talking about an actual cup of water but I am referring to an act of kindness or an example of true Christianity. I think we might actually start to influence people in a positive way! What about you? See if you can find someone this week who needs a cup of refreshment in life and see if you can give them a glass full of joy and a representation of Christ! The greatest sermon is one with no words!
Well I finally bit the bullet and joined the Twitter Revolution. I will try to keep it updated… If you have an account and would like to follow feel free to do so..
